Interview with Porn Site Performers OlyLthrMen

By HOOK, Boston

HOOK: First thing I want to know is - what exactly do you guys do in terms of selling sex online?

OlyLthrMen: Well, we have this website, OlyLthrMen.com where we sell subscriptions to folks that want to see us having sex, video clips and galleries.

HOOK: What process did you go thru to secure the site?

OLM: The site started a couple years ago as a personal homepage (Greg) I thought it would be a fun introduction to me and the kind of play I like (Greg) I started playing with my vid camera and loaded mpeg clips. This drew a huge response so I had to move to a commercial sire provider and charge for the service to cover the costs. The site became more popular than I had imagined and we decided to go commercial. The bulk of our material available by subscription -- $7.95 for 30 days access.

HOOK: Cool. And how much do you estimate the income from this to be?

OLM: Right now having been commercial for just over a year and are making from $400 to $800 per month. We estimate we will be able to triple that this year.

HOOK: How do you do your taxes on that? or do you?

OLM: We are a for profit, Sole-proprietorship and pay taxes on it as a web-communications/entertainment business.

HOOK: Do you keep an accountant for it - or do you find the paperwork pretty simple?

OLM: No accountant -- we do it...the best things about running an e-commerce site like this on the web is there are third party billing companies who provide the credit card and 900 number transactions...and keep 15% of the fee and automatically deposit a check in our account every 2 weeks. It makes it really easy.

HOOK: Do you pay them for this service - or is their commission the payment?

OLM: Their commission is their payment. The more we sell -- the more they get too. As our sales go up, their fee percentage will decrease.

HOOK: Cool.

OLM: Yes, it really is cool. And all the sex is cool too!

HOOK: Do people in strange places recognize you two a lot?

OLM: Yes, they do. (Greg) I was in NYC last year and in SF and LA and got recognized right away people would say, “aren't you OlyLthrMan?” Zeke got noticed in Safeway here in town

HOOK: LOL! :) Is that awkward at times?

OLM: No -- not really, we kinda get off on it....our little "Cottage industry" is making us famous! LOL! Or is that infamous? We're planning a trip to Europe in the Spring and already there are several guys who want us to film them for the site.

HOOK: How is the 'industry' affecting your relationship with each other?

OLM: (Zeke) I think it kinda pulls us together,..a joint effort.
(Greg) the couple that plays together...stays together ;-)
(Zeke) we also play when we're not filming. :) …which is more intimate.

HOOK: Do you think that people are tired of 'muscleboys' online?

OLM: (Zeke) I don't know about the popular consensus, but I've never much cared for pretty-boys. Then of course, our audience doesn't go for the mainstream Hollywood look, either.

HOOK: You mentioned bareback...is that between you two? or other partners?

OLM: Both. It's an informed decision by our partners who are generally positive, also

HOOK: You both are HIV+ ?

OLM: Yes. We don't want to infect anybody, so we play as safe as someone else feels comfortable. We just prefer bareback - doesn't everybody?

HOOK: Some would disagree with you saying that it sets a negative example...how do you feel about that?

OLM: (Zeke) I would wonder what's negative about people sharing love juices without worry of infection.
(Greg) That's why I play with positive guys. We are free from the restrictions of barriers in our play. Most of us don't buy into the re-infection scenario.

HOOK: When dealing with negative men, are you more prone to not getting involved or establishing a safety code?

OLM: (Zeke) I'll play with anybody that meets my guidelines of taste. It's usually neg guys that don't want to play with us.
(Greg) I tend not to want to play with neg guys unless they really turn me on and want to play with me too. I'll often just bottom for them to reduce their risk.

HOOK: I am just trying to get a feel for how you are about dealing with the positive/negative issue.

OLM: (Zeke): I just can't imagine anyone not wanting to play with Greg, he's got to be the sexiest man alive (besides myself) ; )

HOOK: Do you allow condom usage?

OLM: Oh, yes. And gloves. We have a huge basket of condoms in our playroom. (Greg): I like to use the Reality female condom for the ‘cock and balls, shove the whole works in there.’

HOOK: There are just many different takes on the +/- sex thing in America....so I am interested to see how you two work with it

OLM: (Zeke): I was negative when we first got together, and it created some tension in our play. I played with quite a few pos guys, (listens) but it hasn't affected our relationship in any negative way. I don't blame anybody.

HOOK: Did you seroconvert on purpose...or was it something you didn't expect?

OLM: It was unexpected. We are not in the business of infecting guys -- we're about extreme play and entertainment.
